Specialty Fiber Operator

Responsibilities

• Follow company policies, safe work practices, prevent injury to yourself and other associates.
• Report any unsafe work condition or any work related injury to your supervisor immediately.
• Walk job - look for chokes, breakdowns or flags. Make repairs as needed.
• Check all machinery for quality or production problems.
• Help clean spindles.
• Help size bobbins on spinning frames.
• Change travelers when needed.
• Fix flags when needed/maintenance.
• Replace belts as needed.
• Replace bobbin hangers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a textile manufacturer preferred.
• A High School Diploma is preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Ability to work alone or on a team as required.
• Willingness to be trained/updated on skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, push and pull.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to climb and work in heights.

Qualifications

• Take weight samples and assist in color changes and creel changes.
