About the role
The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests, performing varied cashier functions in a pleasant, efficient, and honest manner.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the daily cage deposits.
- Acceptance of hard and soft count drops daily.
- Replenishment of window and change attendant banks.
- Maintain paperwork as specified in the company’s internal controls regarding marker, front money, and key control.
- Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned, potentially in any area within the Cage.
- Functions involving Marker Bank, Fill Bank, Employee Services Bank, and Main Bank.
- Appropriately document all movement of assets specific to the assigned area.
- Pit-related transactions including fill requests (fills and credits), acceptance of document transfers, and dealers toke process.
- Slot-related transactions including manual jackpots, jackpot payouts requiring multiple types of payment, slot markers, and slot toke process.
- Deposit preparation including cash, cash equivalents, markers, and personal checks.
- Accept and process wire transfers and cash equivalents as outlined in standard operating procedures.
- Service employees for retail, food and beverage, and slot floats to perform their duties.
- Complete additional assignments requested by cage supervisor and above.
- Maintain professional appearance, wear appropriate uniform, and arrive on time for assigned areas.
- Adhere to all Indiana Gaming Regulations.
- Attend seminars when needed.
- Balance bank at end of shift.
- Identify and accurately cash different denominations of gaming tokens, cash currency, checks, etc.
- Stand 100% of the time in a noisy environment.
- Lift items as required by tasks assigned.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent preferred.
- Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
- Must successfully pass a background check.
- Must maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.
- Must successfully pass a drug screening.
- Must comply with all Indiana Gaming Commission regulations, Internal controls, Standard Operating Procedures, AML/Title 31 regulations, and all company policies and procedures.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Knowledge of procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Basic math skills and proficiency with a 10-key calculator.
- Prior cashier or teller experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and time schedules as needed.
- Ability to work on the casino floor, subject to varying levels of crowds and noise.
- Strong communication skills with outside contacts and all levels of team members.
- Ability to review, comprehend, analyze, and assimilate reports and computer-generated information.
