About the role

The Early Childhood Inclusion program is seeking a support staff member to assist in providing educational services to children with special needs within a regular education classroom setting.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide one-on-one assistance to students with special needs
• Collaborate with families to develop and implement home-school communication strategies
• Assist in creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience working with children with special needs preferred

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of child development and special education principles

Skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
