About the role
The Role Entegris is seeking a full‑time Specialist, Production Planner to support daily manufacturing operations at our Aurora, IL. This position is an onsite position supporting 24/5 and weekend operation. The Production Planner is responsible for developing and managing executable production plans that align customer demand, inventory requirements, material availability, manufacturing capacity, and operational priorities. This position serves as a critical link between Supply Chain Planning and Manufacturing, ensuring production schedules are achievable, priorities are clearly communicated, and potential constraints are shown and addressed before they impact customer delivery. The Production Planner will play a key role in improving On-Time Delivery, production schedule adherence, capacity utilization, inventory performance, and overall manufacturing execution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules for assigned manufacturing lines and work centers.
- Translate customer demand and supply requirements into executable production plans.
- Create, release, and maintain production orders within the ERP/MRP system.
- Balance demand, inventory, capacity, labor, materials, and manufacturing constraints.
- Sequence production to optimize available capacity and minimize unnecessary changeovers.
- Maintain appropriate planning horizons and ensure production priorities are clearly communicated.
- Re-plan production as demand, capacity, material availability, or operational priorities change.
- Monitor daily production performance against the established schedule.
- Show production orders at risk of missing planned completion or customer commitment dates.
- Partner with Production leadership to develop recovery plans for missed or at-risk orders.
- Monitor and improve production schedule adherence.
- Analyze causes of schedule misses, delays, and production
