About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Office Manager to support our home health operations, ensuring smooth coordination, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication with patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with Medicare regulations and the Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Communicates effectively on the telephone with patients, families, and staff.
  • Answers incoming calls and forwards to appropriate staff or takes messages when needed.
  • Welcomes and assists all guests.
  • Manages incoming, outgoing, and interoffice mail.
  • Performs typing, faxing, and copying tasks as requested.
  • Inputs data into the computer for billing purposes.
  • Orders and maintains accurate records of medical equipment and supplies.
  • Informs staff of changes regarding admissions, discharges, visits, schedules, and clinical meetings.
  • Gathers and records staff members’ daily records, such as mileage and visit times.
  • Tracks admission, discharge, case conferences, certification, and re-certification dates for all patients.
  • Assists with audits of patient information.
  • Maintains accurate mailing lists of employees, patients, Medical Directors, physicians, and contractors, forwarding changes to the Corporate Office.
  • Participates in and assists with community activities, such as health fairs, conventions, and community education programs.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have reliable transportation; if by car, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance are required.
  • Nurturing and compassionate nature with a desire to care for others.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
