About the role

As the Specialist - Project Coordinator, you will provide project coordination support for a geographic area, including project management, coordination, and facilitation of project scheduling and tracking for a small to medium-sized portfolio of network installation and upgrade projects. This role involves monitoring and managing scope, budget, timeline, installation, and integration, as well as overseeing internal TDS and third-party resources as part of the build plan workflow. This position offers remote work flexibility; however, the ideal candidate will be based in Wisconsin to support in-market needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project coordination support for a geographic area and project management of assigned network projects.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities using project management systems (e.g., Clarity), tools, and aids such as project plans, reports, and charts.
  • Maintain project plans throughout the lifecycle of projects, ensuring alignment with internal practices and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage projects to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery within scope and of high quality.
  • Provide project direction to internal TDS and third-party resources.
  • Ensure quality audits and inspections are completed during construction, adhering to TDS standards.
  • Support resource managers in the tactical application of tools and reports.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting from planning tools, including tagging and formatting projects.
  • Produce detailed project and portfolio reports and notifications as needed.
  • Track capital budget expenditures for assigned projects and provide reporting from SAP.
  • Comply with all Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements and processes.
  • Ensure project closure, including budget reconciliation, invoice processing, contract finalization, and retirement of units related to capital projects.
  • Examine project documentation and data for completeness and accuracy.
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to methods and procedures in your area of responsibility.
  • Perform basic office administration functions.
  • Stay current with installation procedures and regulatory processes to assist in planning network changes and preparing reports for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) OR 4+ years of professional work experience.
  • 1+ years of telecommunications or commercial construction experience.
  • 1+ years of project leadership experience.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Project management experience with budget responsibility.
  • Completion of one or more projects through all phases of at least one lifecycle.
  • Average of 10% travel time may be required, with possible overnight stays.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a personal sense of urgency.
  • Ability to perform in a self-directed environment.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including conflict resolution.
  • Ability to build, organize, and deploy strong teams while fostering collaboration.
  • Proficiency with tools such as MS Project, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and functional systems affected by projects.
  • Ability to rapidly assimilate key business objectives of the supported business unit.
  • Experience in engineering, design, or installation within the telecommunications industry.
  • Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders to understand the value proposition of each project.
  • Ability to influence others without direct organizational authority.
  • Demonstrated adaptability in a changing environment and effective use of process and judgment.

Pay

The listed pay range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary. Actual offers will be based on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, location, and role-specific competencies. Some positions may also offer additional compensation, such as bonuses or equity awards.

Pay Range: $56,800.00/Yr. - $92,300.00/Yr.
