About the role

The Specialist, Organizational Development will be an innovative, resourceful, and creative professional who partners to elevate the Organizational & Talent Development (O&TD) function. This position is responsible for creating and delivering effective management and leadership training to support continued people and leadership development across multiple functional areas. Responsibilities include designing and facilitating programs, instructional design, partnering with internal subject matter experts, and managing company-wide talent management initiatives. The role reports to the Sr. Dir, Leadership and Organizational Development and supports People and Learning (PAL) initiatives aligned with the strategic goals of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with, plans, and develops mission-critical projects, learning and development solutions, and organizational development initiatives that support the Leadership & Organizational Development Strategy.
  • Partners in the development of the organization’s Leadership programs through the leadership life cycle, including identifying organizational development tools, process management, and designing solutions to align with leadership behavioral goals at the following levels: new manager/leader, in-role leader/manager, future leader/manager, and leader/manager mentor.
  • Partners in the regular assessment of current organizational needs and designs, develops, and deploys programs that strengthen team member contributions and optimize company performance across multiple functional areas.
  • Partners in the design and development of plans for projects and programs within the People and Learning organization, including communications, training materials, presentations, and other materials.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Organization Development or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, +2 years of experience is required.
  • 4+ years of related experience with 3-5 years of functional experience in HR/Organizational Development.
  • Knowledge of leadership development, organizational development, training design and delivery, and leadership development.
  • Knowledge of HROD best practices, including partnership within a Field/Corporate HR model, competency-based HR systems, individual development planning, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, including classroom, online, and small group processes, with the ability to effectively coach and influence others at similar organizational levels.
  • Strong project, process, program, and management skills.
  • Understanding of learning technology and related technology-enabled learning solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR/OD leadership role.
  • Operations experience in a multi-unit service industry.
  • Facilitation/operational certification within the HR/OD function.

  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to simplify complex data and communicate information effectively to Senior Management.

Pay

$59,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.
