Overview Overview The Operations Specialist serves as the direct point of contact for all Correspondent TPO clients requiring assistance with any aspect of the acquisition process outside of the underwriting review. This includes, but is not limited to, delivery of images and collateral, advising of correct contacts for underwriting, aid in questions regarding settlement, resolving or escalating servicing transfer issues, and monitoring all final documents. This position requires best in-class customer service and communication skills and an understanding of loan programs, compliance rules, investor requirements and general mortgage origination standards. This individual will assist with the day-to-day operational tasks of the Non-Agency team. Responsibilities Provide support to Non-Agency Clients, Operations management, Correspondent Ops, and Transaction Management.Oversee the Non-Agency requests that come into the Non-Agency Client Management email box.Offers assistance to all Non-Agency Correspondent TPO sellers throughout the purchase and post-purchase processes.Maintain knowledge of investor program policies , operational procedures and regulatory laws.Identifies and aids in solving issues that arise during the loan purchase process.Works with AVP of Operations daily serving as a point contact to facilitate workflow process.Assists with day-to-day operational tasks that include, but are not limited to reviewing the Exclusionary List exception reports, responding to servicer questions on Correspondent TPO flow loans, assisting the AVP of Operations with the Express workflow pipeline, and assisting with the management of internal conditions.Consistently prepared to take on immediate issues/concerns that require attention. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred or three to five years related Secondary Marketing/Capital Markets Operations experience (i.e. Document Management, Document Custodian, Post Closing, etc.).Familiarity with Government Sponsored Entity (GSE) and Bayview guidelines, products and procedures.Working knowledge of current mortgage banking practices, particularly an understanding of shipping, custodial, warehouse and settlement processes and policies.Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and ability.Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage strict deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with others, including peers, management, clients, and outside counterparties.Self starter with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a constantly changing environment.Ability to work overtime as needed LOCATION and COMPENSATION: This role can be remote or hybrid (3 days in office) from our Denver, CO office.Base compensation is expected to be $55,000 - $70,000 + OT with the opportunity for incentive compensation including bonus compensation.
