Specialist IS Security Engineer
Duties
- Help define, and execute Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) strategy and processes;
- Management of technologies and processes including issue identification and resolution, integration with other tools, documentation and continuous improvement of the service;
- Lead or contribute to the development of roadmaps and metrics for processes and tools used for Security Monitoring;
- Analyze, design, develop and operate programs, shell scripts, tests, and infrastructure automation capabilities in an advanced security context;
- Cookordination with internal and external partners to remediate or mitigate security vulnerabilities and assist technical teams;
- Advise incident responders as they develop and coordinate response, containment and remediation capabilities as appropriate;
- Support cyber threat intelligence, security operations and other security teams in day-by-day activities;
- and Participate in audits covering information security services and technologies.
Requirements
- Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field & 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a software development-related occupation.
- Position requires 2 years of experience in the following: SIEM technologies including IBMQradar, Splunk Enterprise Security, or ArcSight;
- System administration skills with Windows or Unix including patching, administrating and troubleshooting SEIM systems;
- Operating logging agents including NXLog, Rsyslog, Graylog, LogStash, or Elk Stack;
- Programming and scripting skills including Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell;
- Cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, or GCP;
- Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, principles and best practices including creating principles or developing correlation rules based on threats, vulnerabilities or malwares;
- Experience with large enterprise environments.
Benefits
The annual salary for this position in the U.S. is $123,219.00 - $142,033.00 per year. Also, this position offers stock, retirement, medical, life and disability insurance and eligibility for an annual bonus or for sales roles, other incentive compensation.
Pay
The annual salary for this position in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
