Security Specialist

What You'll Do

• Exercise independent judgment in directing the activities of the security officers
• Provide leadership, training, and development to security professionals
• Assume overall leadership of Security Operations in the absence of the Manager
• Draft SOP, Post Orders, and Policy for manager review
• Partner with HR, Safety, and other stakeholders to resolve security incidents
• Cover security response for medical emergencies, fire events, or other emergency incidents
• Conduct site assessment surveys and patrols to ensure site integrity
• Provide physical security presence to de-escalate and mitigate threats against Tesla property and personnel
• Able to follow directions, be the example for Tesla employees, and adhere to Tesla policies and procedures

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of security supervisor, law enforcement, military, or emergency response experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead emergency operations
• Ability to work all shifts including nights and weekends
• Formal training in verbal de-escalation preferred
• Ability to obtain and maintain state-specific guard card or other licensing requirements; Current First Aid/AED/CPR certification
• Valid driver's license required to operate assigned fleet
