Specialist II, Enrollment Services (Shared Services)
About the role
The purpose of this class is to provide, in a “Shared Service environment,” a back-office operation and coordination of work related to advisement, registration, international, and student services, including student applications, registration, drop/add, scanning, indexing, and fraud research.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day processing of enrollment related paperwork.
- Resolve and troubleshoot problems in daily processing of service requests related to areas related to enrollment.
- Process, prepare and validate student documents relating to all aspects of the enrollment process to meet standards of data quality for internal and external reporting compliance.
- Process entry of admissions applications, generating student ID numbers based on CCBC standards and SOP’s.
- Review suspected fraudulent student records. Contact students regarding ID and Residency verifications.
- Audit and/or verify student records. Research and resolve discrepancies.
- Affirmatively assist with notifications to students, i.e., letters, emails to prepare for timely mailings from Registrar’s office, Financial Aid, and other offices.
- Scan/Index into Banner Extender, and review for clarity student enrollment information, ID and residency documentation, applications, registrations, drop/adds, high school/college transcripts, change of information, refund requests, graduation applications, etc.
- Process time sensitive mailings from various departments including Registrar’s office, Early College Access Program, and Financial Aid.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED and three (3) years full time of clerical experience to include data entry, working in an office environment, preferably in a business which is customer service related.
- Experience working in a Registrar’s Office, Admissions, Financial Aid or with Student/Accounts preferred.
- Experience working in Higher Education preferred.
- Knowledge/experience working with document imaging and Student Information systems, specifically Banner, preferred.
- Must be able to work some evenings and occasional weekends.

Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature.
