Special Utility Worker I, Facility Srvcs
Duties And Responsibilities
- Operates company vehicles with appropriate Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Operates forklift.
- Replace light bulbs in all Facility Services supported buildings.
- Replace air conditioning filters in all Facility Services support buildings.
- Requires shutting off power at a local disconnect.
- Work on ladder to change light bulbs and access roofs to change HVAC filters only.
- Maximum ladder height is to be ten (10) feet.
- No electric/hydraulic aerial devices (hydraulic man-lift, scissors-lifts, etc.) are to be used.
- Use hand power tools (e.g. electric or battery operated drill motors, etc.) necessary to change light bulbs and HVAC filters only.
- Assist with oil spill clean-up required.
- General housekeeping duties.
Education And Experience
Required: Valid High School Diploma or valid GED.
Experience Required: None.
Licenses And Certifications
Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Must possess good writing skills and basic computer skills.

Storm Duty Requirements
Responding to storms will be considered a condition of employment. TECO Energy and its companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our TECO Energy customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.
