Requirements
Education, Training, And Experience:
- Utility Worker I: High School Diploma or GED. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Class "D" Water Works License & Class "I" Wastewater Collection License issued by TCEQ within 12 months of hire.
- Utility Worker II: HS diploma or GED. Two (2) years of utilities related experiences, preferably in a municipality. Possession of a valid Class I Wastewater Collection and Class “D” Water License issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Must obtain Class II Wastewater Collection OR Class “C” Water License issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) within 12 months of hire.
- Licenses And Certifications:
- Utility Worker I: Valid State driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Utility Worker II: Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Experience:
- Less than 1 year of experience
- More than 1 year of experience but less than 2 years of experience
- More than 2 years of experience but less than 3 years of experience
- 3+ years of experience

Pay
The salary range for Utility Worker I is $51,486.47 - $72,081.06 (DOQ), and for Utility Worker II is $56,763.84 - $79,469.37 (DOQ).
