About the role

Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC professional to join their team as a Special Projects Technician 2. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $24.75 to $39.70 per hour, with a potential annual salary range of $51,480 to $82,576. Responsibilities

• Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and processes
• Install per manufacturer specifications and company policies: Manual dampers and supporting hardware, Flex and sheet metal ductwork and associated duct fittings in light commercial and residential buildings
• Copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering
• HVAC related equipment including split systems and roof top units up to 20 tons
• Design/draw necessary duct fittings in the field to facilitate installation
• Wire both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment
• Pre-measure jobs to determine material required for installation
• Receive material and equipment required for each job, confirm accuracy and transport to job site
• Ensure proper installation of gas line connections to heating equipment
• Accurately complete required job documentation in a timely manner
• Work with other team members and departments to meet job/project deadlines and specifications

Requirements

• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to work at heights
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders, scaffolding and stairs
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time as well as stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl in order to work in tight spaces
• Must be able to work within confined spaces
• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and customers
• Must be able to use hands to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects

Qualifications

• Must be a high school or trade school graduate or have a GED
• Must hold a Universal Refrigerant certificate or be willing to obtain
• 1 to 3 years’ experience of HVAC installation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various HVAC equipment
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy
