About the role
Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC professional to join their team as a Special Projects Technician 2. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $24.75 to $39.70 per hour, with potential annual earnings between $51,480 and $82,576. Responsibilities
- Follow and adhere to all company safety requirements and processes
- Install per manufacturer specifications and company policies: Manual dampers and supporting hardware, Flex and sheet metal ductwork and associated duct fittings in light commercial and residential buildings
- Copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including brazing and soldering
- HVAC related equipment including split systems and roof top units up to 20 tons
- Design/draw necessary duct fittings in the field to facilitate installation
- Wire both low and line voltage to cooling and heating equipment
- Pre-measure jobs to determine material required for installation
- Receive material and equipment required for each job, confirm accuracy and transport to job site
- Ensure proper installation of gas line connections to heating equipment
- Accurately complete required job documentation in a timely manner
- Work with other team members and departments to meet job/project deadlines and specifications
Requirements
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work at heights
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to climb and work on ladders, scaffolding and stairs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time as well as stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl in order to work in tight spaces
- Must be able to work within confined spaces
- Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and customers
- Must be able to use hands to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects
Qualifications
- Must be a high school or trade school graduate or have a GED
- Must hold a Universal Refrigerant certificate or be willing to obtain
- 1 to 3 years’ experience of HVAC installation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of various HVAC equipment
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver qualification policy
