Special Projects Manager - Center for Local Planning (9658)

University of Tennessee · Nashville, TN · 1 mo ago
Full-time
We need to output only HTML fragment, no html/body tags. Use

for section headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We need to include sections only if posting has real specific content. The posting includes description (About the role), Responsibilities, Qualifications (Required and Preferred), Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (maybe Skills). No explicit Benefits, Pay, Schedule sections. There's mention of hybrid work policy but not schedule details. Should we include Schedule? The posting says "The position will be hybrid in accordance with the University of Tennessee's Hybrid and Remote Work Policy." That's schedule info (hybrid). Could be considered schedule. But rule: only include Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections if posting actually states them. It does state hybrid work arrangement, which is schedule. So we could include a Schedule section with that info. Benefits not mentioned. Pay not mentioned. So we omit Benefits and Pay. We need to use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. For prose use

    . For section headings use

. Do not repeat job title as heading. Do not include Job ID etc. Remove boilerplate like application instructions, EEO, etc. So we need to strip application instructions and EOE line. We need to preserve all substantive information. So we need to include the description paragraph(s) under About the role. Then Responsibilities as list items. Then Qualifications: maybe split into Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications? Could combine under Qualifications heading with subheadings? But we only allowed headings from list; we could still have

for Qualifications and then inside we can have

    or

. Could also have subheadings like but not required. Probably better to have

      Qualifications

      then

      Required: ...

      and

      Preferred: ...

      or use
. Since qualifications are lists, we can use
        • . For required qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree... Experience: Minimum seven (7) years... etc. Preferred: Master's... Experience related to land use or transportation planning... Also Knowledge, Skills, Abilities could be under Skills section. The heading Skills is allowed. So we could put Knowledge, Skills, Abilities under Skills heading as list. Thus sections: About the role (maybe we could call it About the role). Responsibilities. Qualifications. Skills. Schedule (hybrid). Possibly also Benefits? Not present. We need to ensure we don't create empty sections. Let's extract content. About the role: The first paragraph: "In this new position, the Special Projects Manager provides high-level project management, coordination, and technical support for non-routine and strategic initiatives of the University of Tennessee's Center for Local Planning (CLP). The position leads efforts to identify and secure new funding opportunities for the Center for Local Planning and fulfills relevant reporting requirements; designs and implements a comprehensive training program for CLP's statewide stakeholders, including cities, counties, and development districts; and manages cross-cutting projects that advance the Center's mission. The position collaborates with sister agencies within the Institute for Public Service (IPS), provides technical assistance to CLP field staff, and cultivates productive relationships with local government partners across Tennessee. The position will be hybrid in accordance with the University of Tennessee's Hybrid and Remote Work Policy." We could split schedule line out to Schedule section. So About the role could exclude the hybrid sentence, moving it to Schedule. Thus About the role paragraph: everything except the hybrid sentence. Now Responsibilities: list of bullet points under headings Grant Development & Funding Acquisition, Training Program Development & Delivery, Strategic Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement, Management & Administration. Each has multiple bullet points (starting with verbs). We need to preserve all substantive information. So we can create a
            with
          • for each bullet point. Should we keep the subheadings? Could embed them as part of
          • text. Probably fine. Qualifications: Required Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications. We'll create
              for each maybe separate

              headings? But we only allowed

for section headings; we can still have

              inside Qualifications. Could do

              Qualifications

              then

              Required Qualifications:

              then
etc. But we shouldn't invent extra headings not allowed? Using is okay. Or we could just list all qualifications as
              • items, but we need to differentiate required vs preferred. Could do two separate
                  with preceding

indicating required/preferred. Skills: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities paragraph: "Knowledge of and experience working within Tennessee's local government planning framework, including relevant statutes, growth plan requirements, and City, County, and Development District planning activities. The Institute for Public Service (IPS) supports a formal Alternative Work Arrangement program currently in place. More information can be provided if candidate progresses through the recruitment process." The second sentence about IPS alternative work arrangement maybe not a skill but could be included. We'll keep as part of Skills. Schedule: hybrid sentence. Now we need to remove boilerplate: application instructions, EOE, link to posting, etc. Let's craft HTML. Structure:
