Responsibilities

• Assists the IR supervisor to ensure the safety guidelines and radiographic equipment safety is in compliance for the department
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner
• Explain all procedures to the patient
• Performs physical assessment by checking IV's, catheters, tubing, etc.
• Communicates and coordinates all Interventional Radiology procedures with the appropriate caregivers
• Maintains competency and proficiency with all Interventional Radiology equipment in order to obtain quality images
• Complies with radiation safety guidelines for patient and self
• Utilizes all personal protective equipment
• Operates Interventional Radiology equipment safely
• Demonstrates the ability to perform all necessary computer operations (i.e. RIS, PACS) to ensure proper procedural documentation and charges

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Vocational School Graduate
• (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
• No Travel Required
• No Experience Required Years Of Experience
