Summary
GENERAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and processing all Special Loan products including, but not limited to, ARMs, Balloon, MERS, SCRA, Construction and Interest on Escrow. Assist with member/client questions as they arise.
Principals Accountabilities
- Responsible for verifying ARM data is accurate and processing ARM calculations for ARM adjustments.
- Work daily MERS reports and monthly reconciliation reports to ensure all data is correct within both the MERS system and system of record.
- Monitor balloon loans and ensure all letters are mailed out to the borrower timely.
- Understanding of different loan products to include but not limited to Bi-weekly, DSI, and interest only loans and how those products function in the system.
- Responsible for processing and maintaining construction to permanent loans.
- Responsible for processing and monitoring HELOC loans.
- Monitor loans in SCRA protection and perform applicable system maintenance.
- Monitor and update the interest on escrow percentages in the system within the applicable State required timeframes.
- Absorb and communicate potential risks to management and take appropriate steps to help mitigate.
- Consistently evaluate process and identify potential improvements to processes or procedures.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships by providing excellent service to all internal and external customers.
- Work with other TruHome departments to ensure the workflow or process is providing the best service to the borrowers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHLB and RESPA Guidelines.
- Knowledge of mortgage products.
- Knowledge of mortgage software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines.
- Ability to self-initiate and work independently without close supervision.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
- Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing software.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to be bonded.
Education/Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 2 years’ experience processing escrow accounts.
Physical Activities
- In this position, individual will be expected to lift to 20 pounds from time to time.
- Also, must be able to stoop, bend, reach, or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions
- This position is expected to work in general office environment and may have to travel for visits to other credit union facilities or for training purposes.
- Overtime will be expected to be worked as needed.
