- Performance of daily, weekly, monthly and/or annual inspections and preventative maintenance services on various clean-agent and suppression systems
- Complete installation and repairs on clean-agent/suppression systems
- Service and test
- Complete electronic and/or hand written inspection reports
- Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner
- Absorb and assist the scheduling and completion of assigned duties
- Ability to work independently and use provided personal protective equipment
- NICET Level II or III for Special Hazard Systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of experience in the fire protection industry
- Possess an understanding of NFPA and building and fire codes
- Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and written
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
- Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking
Special Hazards/Suppression Technician
The Special Hazard/Suppression Technician is responsible for performing scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and installations of clean-agent, special hazard, and/or non-water-based fire suppression systems.
The salary range for this position is $75,000-$110,000 per year depending on experience.
