Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, and maintain special hazard fire suppression systems, including but not limited to: Clean agent systems (e.g., FM-200, Novec 1230), CO₂ systems, Foam suppression systems, Water mist systems, Explosion suppression or detection systems.
- Verify proper system operation through functional and acceptance testing.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot system issues or deficiencies.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable NFPA codes (e.g., NFPA 2001, 12, 750), local regulations, and company standards.
- Work closely with project managers, foremen, and other trades on-site to support successful project execution.
- Document inspections, maintenance, and service activities in accordance with company and client requirements.
What You Bring To The Table
- A high school diploma or GED, with technical or industry related experience preferred.
- Prior experience with FM-200, Inergen, CO₂, NOVEC 1230, or other clean agent systems.
- Familiarity with NFPA codes and general fire protection standards.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and system drawings.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for use with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights of 30 feet or more.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your assigned territory.
- Experience operating lifts and an understanding of OSHA safety practices.
- A professional, team-oriented mindset and a consistent focus on doing the job safely and correctly.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Three or more years of experience inspecting, servicing, or repairing fire suppression systems.
- NICET certification (Level I or higher) in Special Hazards.
- Experience handling both routine inspections and more complex repair work.
- Known for catching issues early, explaining them clearly to customers, and following through until they are fixed.
