Job Location: 300 East River Rd, Rochester, New York, United States of America, 14623

This is a temporary position with a term from August 5 through November 1, 2026. Scheduled weekly hours will be as arranged. Work shift is day-based.

Compensation Range: $29.33 - $41.06 per hour. Individual rates will be determined based on factors including market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Event Planning & Execution
    • Develop and manage event program flow.
    • Coordinate vendors and oversee all event logistics.
    • Ensure successful execution of events from planning through completion.
  • Marketing & Communications
    • Oversee production of publications and event-related collateral materials.
    • Coordinate mailing lists and manage event marketing and promotional communications.
    • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across event materials.
  • Leadership & Speaker Support
    • Write briefing materials for speakers and institutional leadership.
    • Coordinate speaker logistics and support leadership participation in events.
    • Prepare event schedules and talking points to ensure seamless presentations.
  • Event Administration & Project Coordination
    • Manage project timelines and coordinate deliverables across event planning activities.
    • Monitor progress of publications, marketing, vendor coordination, and program development to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align event planning efforts and resolve logistical issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently preferred.
  • Ability to manage large projects; to gather, condense, and synthesize information; and to provide accurate analysis and summaries preferred.
  • Experience with computer technologies, especially Microsoft Excel preferred.
  • A personal belief in the mission, goals, and objectives of private higher education preferred.
