Job Location: 300 East River Rd, Rochester, New York, United States of America, 14623
This is a temporary position with a term from August 5 through November 1, 2026. Scheduled weekly hours will be as arranged. Work shift is day-based.
Compensation Range: $29.33 - $41.06 per hour. Individual rates will be determined based on factors including market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities
- Event Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage event program flow.
- Coordinate vendors and oversee all event logistics.
- Ensure successful execution of events from planning through completion.
- Marketing & Communications
- Oversee production of publications and event-related collateral materials.
- Coordinate mailing lists and manage event marketing and promotional communications.
- Ensure consistent messaging and branding across event materials.
- Leadership & Speaker Support
- Write briefing materials for speakers and institutional leadership.
- Coordinate speaker logistics and support leadership participation in events.
- Prepare event schedules and talking points to ensure seamless presentations.
- Event Administration & Project Coordination
- Manage project timelines and coordinate deliverables across event planning activities.
- Monitor progress of publications, marketing, vendor coordination, and program development to ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align event planning efforts and resolve logistical issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience required.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently preferred.
- Ability to manage large projects; to gather, condense, and synthesize information; and to provide accurate analysis and summaries preferred.
- Experience with computer technologies, especially Microsoft Excel preferred.
- A personal belief in the mission, goals, and objectives of private higher education preferred.
