Requirements / Qualifications
Must have one of the following credentials:
- Education Specialist Instruction Credential: Mild to Moderate Support Needs, Extensive Support Needs, Early Childhood Special Education
- Education Specialist Added Authorization: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Early Childhood
- Education Specialist Bridge Document: Mild to Moderate Support Needs, Extensive Support Needs, Early Childhood Special Education
Candidates must attach all required documents to be considered for this position.
- Letter of Introduction
- Resume
- Education Specialist Instruction Credential OR Transcripts (Required for all Pre-interns)
- CBEST
- EL Authorization** (must provide proof if not embedded in California Credential)
- Credential Copy (must show Subject Description, expiration date and EL Authorization)
- Two (2) professional letters of recommendation (within one year)
*Letters should be from current or former Principal, Assistant Principal, Department Chair, Program Director, or Supervisor. If you have not taught in California (new to the profession), please include a letter from your university program supervisor, master teacher, or practicum supervisor.

MUSD offers an In‑House Teacher Induction Program at no cost.
MUSD accepts up to twenty‑one (21) years of full‑time school years.
There may be an out‑of‑pocket expense depending on the medical plan.
Unit members who do not hold a preliminary credential will not receive the $6,000 stipend until a preliminary credential is obtained.
