Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in Early Childhood or Early Childhood Special Education
- Holds or is eligible for Maine DOE Certification 282 (Teacher of Students with Disabilities, BirthGrade 5)
- Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in an early childhood special education classroom
- Experience supervising Educational Technicians (Ed Techs)
- Strong knowledge of early childhood special education best practices
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to collaborate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Successful completion of background check, fingerprinting, and reference checks
Requirements
- Reports To Special Education Director
- Assistant Special Education Director
- Consults with Special Education PreK Strategist
- Collaborates With PreK general education teachers
- Related service providers
- K5 Extended Support Program team
