Special Education Teacher- PreK: (Part Time)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred) in Early Childhood or Early Childhood Special Education
• Holds or is eligible for Maine DOE Certification 282 (Teacher of Students with Disabilities, Birth–Grade 5)
• Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in an early childhood special education classroom
• Experience supervising Educational Technicians (Ed Techs)
• Strong knowledge of early childhood special education best practices
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Able to collaborate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Successful completion of background check, fingerprinting, and reference checks

• Assistant Special Education Director
• Consults with Special Education PreK Strategist
• Collaborates With PreK general education teachers
• Related service providers
• K–5 Extended Support Program team
