Assignment Overview
The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, provides quality educational services to students in grades 6-12. This position is responsible for supporting students receiving special education services through individualized instruction, IEP development and implementation, consultation with educational staff, and participation in the planning and delivery of student-centered programs. Candidates should be committed to collaboration, student achievement, and creating supportive learning environments that meet diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university preferred
- Valid state teaching certificate as required by state and district regulations
- Minimum one year of teaching experience preferred
- Active Wisconsin DPI Special Education Teaching License required
- Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
- State Teacher Certification (Elementary, Secondary, and/or Special Education) preferred
- Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and families
- Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current CPR, health certification, and TB documentation if required by state regulations or contract requirements
