Key Responsibilities Provide specialized academic instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities in grades K-5.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Adapt curriculum and lessons to meet diverse learning needs.Deliver differentiated instruction, interventions, and academic support.Track student progress and maintain required documentation.Collaborate with administrators, therapists, support staff, and families.Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment. Required Qualifications Valid state Special Education teaching certification as required by state and district regulations.Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.Must comply with all applicable professional standards of practice.Must be at least 18 years of age. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.Minimum one year of teaching experience.Experience working with elementary-aged students with mild to moderate disabilities.Strong classroom management and behavior support skills.Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification.Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to help develop a new educational program.
