• Setting: 100% Special Education School Site
• Schedule: 36.25 hours per week
• Contract Length: 38 Weeks
• Start Date: August 12, 2026
• Local Pay: $50/hour
• Estimated Weekly Gross: $2,000/week
• Travel Package Available: Estimated Weekly Package: $2,446/week (Taxable Rate: $30/hour, Housing Stipend: $770/week, Meal Stipend: $476/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized academic instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities in grades K-5.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Adapt curriculum and lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
• Deliver differentiated instruction, interventions, and academic support.
• Track student progress and maintain required documentation.
• Collaborate with administrators, therapists, support staff, and families.
• Participate in IEP meetings, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
• Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid state Special Education teaching certification as required by state and district regulations.
• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
• Must comply with all applicable professional standards of practice.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
• Minimum one year of teaching experience.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Strong classroom management and behavior support skills.
• Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification.
• Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to help develop a new educational program.
