Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored instruction for middle school students with diverse learning needs and disabilities
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that address each student's unique goals
- Create a learning environment that fosters student engagement and growth
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to promote inclusive education
- Evaluate student progress and adapt instruction based on data and observations
Requirements
- Masters degree in Special Education or a related field; Current state certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle school students with special needs
- Strong understanding of behavioral management and instructional strategies
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to use various assessment tools to measure student growth
Qualifications
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- License/Certification: Special Education Certification (Preferred)
- Ability to commute: Revere, MA 02151 (Required)
Pay
$70-85 per hour
