Local Contract School Services - Special Education Teacher - $49-50 per hour
About the role
Join Cross Country Education as a Special Education Teacher and provide resource support services to students with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve academic success during the 2026–2027 school year in Surprise, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support to students with disabilities in a resource setting while aligning services with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop and monitor individualized goals, accommodations, and instructional strategies to promote student growth and achievement.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with special education requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid Arizona Special Education Certification.
- Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required crisis intervention training and certifications.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in using technology to support student learning.
Skills
- Knowledge of special education methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
