About the role
The Evergreen Center is a private non-profit organization that provides living and learning environments for children and adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities including autism, physical disabilities, neurobehavioral disorders, and other special needs. We are seeking a bright and energetic Special Education Teacher to deliver direct instruction and design curriculum for a small cohort of 7-8 students. The ideal candidate will thrive in a supportive, fast-paced environment guided by data-driven interventions and demonstrate a commitment to collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Complete educational assessments necessary to develop Individual Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives for students
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in the development of the IEP to meet educational programming goals for students
- Develop materials and instructional methodology necessary to meet identified goals
- Complete quarterly progress monitoring reports
- Supervise and train instructors in the implementation of educational programming
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Experience in caring for persons with developmental disabilities (preferred)
- Master’s degree and Special Education licensure (preferred)
