Special Education Teacher

About the role

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in behavior intervention and management skills, consulting with school BCBA and related service providers. They will also supervise support staff, implement appropriate modifications and accommodations, collect academic and behavioral data, perform classroom observations, facilitate transitions of students placed out of district, and collaborate with the general education team.

Requirements

• Maine State certification as Teacher of Exceptional Students (282)
• Experience working with children who present emotional, learning and behavioral problems
• Effective team leader with experience in designing individualized, academic, and behavioral programs for students
