SPECIAL EDUCATION PHYSICAL THERAPIST (POOL FOR EXTERNAL APPLICANTS)
Poole School District is seeking a Special Education Physical Therapist.
About the role
The Special Education Physical Therapist will work in the Special Services department providing physical therapy services to students with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized physical therapy services to students with disabilities
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on student needs
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for students
- Document progress and communicate with parents and teachers
Requirements
- Current Washington State Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Current certification with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) with appropriate endorsement
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
Qualifications
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet individual student needs
- Proficiency in using assistive technology
