Poole School District is seeking a Special Education Occupational Therapist.
About the role
The successful candidate will provide direct therapeutic services to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapeutic services to students with disabilities in accordance with IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Evaluate student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Document therapy sessions and progress reports.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other special education staff.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Washington State.
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Knowledge of developmental milestones and typical learning patterns.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques.
