SPECIAL EDUCATION OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (POOL FOR EXTERNAL APPLICANTS)

Poole School District is seeking a Special Education Occupational Therapist.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide direct therapeutic services to students with disabilities in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapeutic services to students with disabilities in accordance with IEPs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Evaluate student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Document therapy sessions and progress reports.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other special education staff.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Washington State.
• Experience working with students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of developmental milestones and typical learning patterns.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment and techniques.
