6.25 hours/day, 10-month calendar (7:25 a.m. – 2:10 p.m.). Position begins at the start of the 2026-27 school year.

District 196 operates 20 elementary schools (grades K-5), six middle schools (grades 6-8), four high schools (grades 9-12), an optional School of Environmental Studies for juniors and seniors, an Area Learning Center high school program, a K-12 special education school, and a special education program serving young adults ages 18-22. The district also runs three learning centers providing early childhood and Adult Basic Education services, along with extensive community education programs for learners of all ages.

Pay

Compensation follows the RAVE Clerical Association contractual agreement (2026-27 contract). Paraprofessionals receive a $1.00 per hour differential in addition to their hourly base rate.

• Step 2: $23.36/hour
• Step 3: $24.69/hour
