- Must obtain a Praxis.
- May be required to pursue and obtain MANDT Certification at the first available opportunity.

Salary Schedule: Per Approved Education Salary Schedule Range 2
Direct Report: Building Principal
Terms of Employment: 9 months
Eligible for emergency telework: With Supervisor Approval
Purpose:
Supports students impacted by cognitive, behavioral, and/or learning disabilities so that each student can access the highest quality education.
Essential Job Functions:
- Attend work in a regular, reliable, and punctual manner.
- To "telework" when requested by the District.
- Assist teacher with clerical duties and classroom routines.
- Administers classroom assignments for purpose of supporting instructional process.
- Communicates with teachers and parents for the purpose of assisting in evaluating progress and/or implementing IEP objectives.
- Makes observations and reports incidents to appropriate instructional or administrative personnel.
- Assists students, individually or in small groups with lesson assignments for purpose of reinforcing learning concepts under direction of teacher.
- Assists students with mobility needs (may involve lifting, toileting, etc.) and in appropriate cases, with medical assistance.
- Covering a class when a substitute teacher is unavailable.
- Positive and professional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Confidentiality.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
