About the role
MSAD #6 is seeking a Special Education Educational Technician.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to students with special needs in educational settings.
- Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Support teachers in creating and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to special education.
Requirements
- Applicants must have the appropriate education and provide transcripts and a CHRC.
- A college degree is preferred but not required.
- Successful candidates must be found before this position can be filled.
Qualifications
- Must have a current Maine Department of Education Ed Tech Authorization.
- Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) is required.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with educators and families.
- Knowledge of special education best practices.
Benefits
- BCBA supervision hours provided for Ed Tech IIIs enrolled in an approved course of study.
Pay
- Salary range: Ed Tech I - III $19.50 - $29.63.
