Ed. Tech I for special education

About the role

MSAD #53 is seeking a Special Education Tech I to join the special education team at one of their three schools (TBD). The ideal candidate will work with students who have a range of academic, functional, and behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

• Closely collaborate with special education teachers to manage student behaviors and behavior plans
• Support students academically in both small groups and one-to-one settings within the regular and special education environment

Requirements

• Ed. Tech I authorization or eligibility to apply for authorization through the Maine Department of Education
• Fingerprinting through the Maine Department of Education required

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate, and patient personality
• Ability to work effectively with students who have diverse needs
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Skills

• Knowledge of special education teaching methods
• Ability to manage student behavior and implement behavior plans
• Proficiency in using technology to support educational goals

Pay

Hourly wage is per the collective bargaining agreement

Schedule

This is a full-time position (32.5 hours per week)
