Special Education Co-Teacher/Paraprofessional (2024 - 2025)

About the role

The Special Education Co-Teacher/Paraprofessional will work in partnership with the special education lead teacher in both general and special education classes.

Responsibilities

• Support children with special needs in classrooms addressing academic and social issues related to hearing loss, vision loss, autism, health impairments, language disorders, or cognitive weaknesses.
• Deliver a variety of accommodations in multiple settings.
• Collaborate with various teachers and school leaders.
• Be a strong advocate for student needs.

Requirements

• A job-related Associate or Bachelor’s degree.
• School-related experience is desired.

Qualifications

• Experience with delivering a variety of accommodations in multiple settings is an asset.
• Trainings and workshops in the summer may be required.
