Special Education Paraprofessional (2026-2027 School Year)
About the role
Hiring for both middle school and high school positions across multiple locations. Salary range is $40,000 - $49,500 based on years of experience. A relocation stipend is offered for moves from locations over 75 miles from Denver. Full-time, benefits-eligible position starting immediately with flexible start dates.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Support educational, behavioral, social-emotional, physical, and daily living needs of students with disabilities.
- Assist with implementing accommodations and modifications, behavior intervention plans, and positive behavior supports.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop lesson plans, prepare materials, and collect data for IEPs.
- Maintain a structured, organized, and routine learning environment.
- Communicate with families and maintain confidentiality.
- Facilitate interactions between students and staff, and students and peers.
- Aid in assessments and skill replacement curriculum implementation.
- Participate in professional development and best practice sessions.
- Support student recruitment, run small group advisory classes, and provide after-school tutoring.
Minimum Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma.
- “In-Field” status within 30 days of start.
- A belief in all students' ability to succeed.
- A desire for personal growth as an anti-racist educator.
- Self-awareness and a reflective practice.

- Proven commitment to serving students of color, students with disabilities, and multilingual students.
Additional Duties
Additional duties as assigned, such as supporting student recruitment, running a small group advisory class, after-school tutoring, etc.
