Special Collections Librarian

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Special Collections unit and staff management
• Acquire, process, and describe archival collections in multiple languages and formats
• Facilitate access to special collections for students and researchers in a reading room setting
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate special collections into the curriculum
• Produce and publish EAD encoded finding aids for archival collections

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an ALA-accredited library school or equivalent degree with archival training
• 2+ years of experience arranging and describing manuscript and/or archival collections
• Familiarity with archival and library management systems, including ArchivesSpace
• Knowledge of current national data content and structure standards
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Pay

$68,000 – $145,250 annually
