About the role
The Special Projects Librarian supports library special projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Create and maintain content on the library’s LibGuides, LibCal, LibWizard and LibSites platforms.
- Develop instructional presentations and videos using Canva.
- Upload videos to the library’s YouTube account and create closed captions.
- Maintain electronic resource records in library systems.
- Aid with collection development and deselection/weeding.
Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May assist the agency or state government in emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in information and library science from an ALA-accredited program.
- 2 years of experience in a library setting, including using Libguides platform to create online library guides.
- Experience using a graphic design or screen recording platform.
- Maintaining records in an integrated library system.
Additional Considerations
- Experience working in an academic library.
- Experience using Alma, Canva, Microsoft Office 365.
- Basic HTML or web coding knowledge.
