Librarian Position Summary

About the role

This position coordinates electronic resources and cataloging. Instruction, both class, virtual, and reference desk is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform job duties from the assigned campus/instructional site/work location.
• Cookordinate and administer electronic resources, including LibGuides and other related library technologies, to ensure reliable access to online library information.
• Catalog materials for check out.
• Aid users with reference and research questions through the resources of the library.
• Plan and conduct library instruction sessions both in-person and on Zoom.
• Serve as an embedded librarian for web courses.
• Assist in planning of library initiatives.
• Work with faculty to incorporate Open Educational Resources (OERs) into their courses.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library science from an ALA accredited program.
• Strong computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Libguides and other library-centered software.
• Knowledge of cataloging.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Broad knowledge of library and educational technologies.
• Knowledge of accessibility principles and universal design.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems.
• Desire2Learn preferred.

Pay

$48,562.00 - $60,703.00 depending on experience
