Axos Bank Target Range: $19.00/Hr. - $32.00/Hr. Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education. Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 12.5% Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 12.5% These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.
Responsibilities
- Conduct risk-based SFR loan reviews, including analysis of collateral, borrower performance, guarantor strength, and adherence to risk-rating policies
- Perform ongoing asset monitoring, ensuring accuracy of valuations, credit reports, delinquent tax tracking, property inspections and other portfolio diligence requirements
- Support loan workout strategies through research, data validation, and documentation to assist the Special Assets Manager in determining appropriate action plans
- Prepare and maintain quarterly strategy updates and asset-level notes for loans assigned to Special Assets, ensuring timely and complete documentation in systems such as Salesforce
- Execute escalation procedures when identifying errors or borrower harm, including root-cause analysis, scoping review periods, and preparation of compliance self-reported finding packages
- Track and monitor delinquency metrics, identifying trends, potential borrower distress, and accounts requiring immediate action or additional review
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Portfolio Management and Consumer Collections business units, and Special Assets leadership to ensure coordinated oversight of criticized or high-risk loans
- Assist with risk-rating recommendations, including analysis of distressed loans, including preparation of supporting documentation
- Participate in preparation for watchlist reviews, SFR scoping cycles, and ongoing credit reporting, ensuring accuracy of data inputs and adherence to established scoping criteria
- Maintain clear borrower and internal communication as delegated, following Special Assets protocols for contact levels and communication restrictions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Business Administration
- 0–2 years of experience in mortgage servicing or underwriting
