About the role
The primary function of the Spa Attendant is to support hospitality service standards and a commitment to customer service. Key focuses include:
- Supporting the cleanliness and maintenance of the Kohler Waters Spa facility and equipment.
- Attending to food and beverage services and spa guest and member needs.
Spa Attendant associates must have excellent working knowledge of all positions, services, products, operations, systems, and procedures within the spa/salon, as well as knowledge of the Kohler resort and surrounding Village of Kohler. The role requires collaboration with all other spa associates to ensure client comfort and satisfaction, with the goal of exceeding client expectations.

Responsibilities
- Attend to women’s or men’s (same gender as associate) Respite Room to maintain order, cleanliness, and amenities; replenish clean towel supply throughout the facility.
- Perform rounds of the facility to ensure neatness and order.
- Attend to the Reception Desk to accommodate client check-in for sandals, robes, and lockers.
- Understand basic RIO system operations for “view-only” purposes to communicate service times and availability to guests.
- Gather used linens from treatment rooms and assemble for pick-up by The American Club laundry staff; distribute clean linens to designated storage areas and/or treatment rooms.
- Assist spa technicians with cleaning of baths between client treatments.
- Support the maintenance staff with daily readings/testing of water in the Spa Relaxation Pool.
- Maintain neatness and order around the Spa Relaxation Pool lounge area.
- Advise Spa Hostess on food and beverage replenishment during the day.
- Assist Group Coordinator with setup tasks involving special group requirements, such as setup of signage and message boards.
- Know and understand The American Club resort property and its businesses to provide information for guests.
- Consistently maintain cleanliness of desk, reception area, retail centers, and flooring as needed.
- Keep spa technicians informed—do not assume anything.
- Inform Supervisor if additional staff is needed.
- Know and perform proper opening/closing procedures as related to this position.
- Provide food and beverage support and delivery of lunches as needed.
- Maintain a high level of customer service for all spa guests.
- Greet people immediately upon arrival.
- Know what services, and the amount of time for each service, each technician performs.
- Be courteous, professional, and friendly.
- Know the proper procedures for emergency situations.
- Complete an on-site certified CPR training course facilitated by Sports Core Fitness Trainers.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- Prior computer and/or facility maintenance experience is helpful.
- Customer service-related experience required.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay
The hourly range for this position is $10.70 - $16.00 plus tips/gratuity. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by factors including experience, education, and work location.
