About the role

The CSIR-NIScPR seeks to hire a skilled professional to contribute to its mission of science communication and policy research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement science communication strategies to enhance public understanding of scientific issues.
• Conduct policy research and provide recommendations to policymakers based on scientific evidence.
• Collaborate with scientists, policymakers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and policy outcomes.
• Write and edit articles, reports, and other materials for various audiences, including the general public, policymakers, and media.
• Manage social media platforms and online communities to engage with the public and promote scientific literacy.

Requirements

• B.Tech/B.E, M.Phil/Ph.D, M.Sc, MS/MD, MVSC degree in relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in science communication, policy research, or related fields.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with digital media and social media platforms.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to analyze complex scientific data and communicate findings effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of current trends and best practices in science communication and policy research.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages may be advantageous.
