About the role

We are seeking a Southwest Region Water Business Group Director to lead business group initiatives for the region. The ideal candidate will develop and implement business development strategies, manage regional growth, and mentor key personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead business group initiatives for the Region working with Market Sector and Business Group leadership
  • Implement and maintain an effective regional business group program, including business development strategies, new business prospects and technical services, quality delivery, production methods and standards, all within established strategic goals and objectives of the company and business group
  • Develop a strong and effective regional team with your Regional Business Development Director and Regional Market Sector Leaders to drive regional growth and meet growth expectations
  • Work cooperatively and partner with other Regional Business Group Directors, Regional Operations Directors, Area Managers and Market Sector Directors to drive Business Group strategies and initiatives in the Region
  • Mentor Area Business Group Managers, Area Business Development Managers, and key personnel
  • Lead in the identification and prioritization of strategic hires and in the recruiting of candidates
  • Actively participate in water industry associations and organizations
  • Lead in the identification and prioritization of strategic hires and in the recruiting of candidates
  • Be committed to quality, improvement, and HDR values
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Proven relationships within major water organizations within the Southwest states of the US
  • Absolutely necessary to have applicable registrations and association activities
  • Frequent travel is required (50%+)
  • Committed to quality improvement and HDR values
  • Strong operations and client development skills
  • Experience with alternative delivery contracting and risk management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven relationships within major water organizations within the Southwest states of the US
  • Absolutely necessary to have applicable registrations and association activities

Pay

The expected compensation range for this position is $262,000 - 328,000 depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
