Southwest Conservation Crew Member

Position Overview

Serve On Professionally Supervised Crews Completing Habitat restoration
Traffic construction and maintenance
Reforestation and forest thinning
Invasive species removal
Fencing and plant identification

Professional Development

Participation in ACE's LEAF (Lead, Educate, and Facilitate) Program is required and includes:

• A professional meeting with ACE staff
• Facilitating a conservation lesson
• Two monthly professional development or community engagement events

Qualifications

• US citizen or permanent resident
• Willingness to work outdoors in challenging conditions
• Ability to hike long distances, carry up to 60 lbs., and perform 10-hour work days
• Pass a criminal history check

Work Environment

• Physically demanding outdoor work in varied and sometimes extreme weather (below freezing to 100°F+)
• Rough terrain
• High-noise environments

Salary

$400 per week
