About the role
The American Conservation Experience (ACE) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to environmental stewardship and empowering emerging professionals. We provide hands-on conservation opportunities across the western United States, focusing on trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and other critical projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in trail maintenance, including clearing brush, repairing erosion, and constructing new trails.
- Participate in habitat restoration projects, such as planting native species and removing invasive plants.
- Support educational initiatives, including leading interpretive hikes and workshops.
- Collaborate with local communities and partners to enhance public access and enjoyment of natural areas.
- Contribute to project documentation and reporting, ensuring accurate records of completed work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong physical fitness and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the outdoors and conservation.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
- Experience with trail maintenance and habitat restoration is a plus.
- Knowledge of local flora and fauna is beneficial.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay
