About the role
The Resources Business Group Manager position at HDR is designed to lead the Southern California practice, focusing on expanding the business and diversifying the client base through strategic client and project pursuits, project management, and staff supervision.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the business and diversify the client base
- Lead strategic client and project pursuits
- Manage projects
- Provide technical services
- Staff administration
- Liaise with marketing support services
- Conduct contract reviews
- Oversight quality of deliverables
- Supervise and mentor staff
- Coordinate working relationships with staff on the Continental United States
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience including strong leadership experience in providing consulting services (engineering, environmental, or regulatory) for complex projects
- Specific knowledge of the Southern California market is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead client teams in support of client development and project execution
- Demonstrated experience in organizational development, building and nurturing team structure for program growth and resiliency
- Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams in an inclusive and proactive manner in executing high quality and timely work for clients
- Committed to quality, process improvements, and upholding HDR values
- Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand
- Ability to work cooperatively with regional and local office managers, other area business group managers, technical directors, and marketing managers
