As Recreation Manager at the South Bend Kroc Center, you’ll lead staff, develop activities, and help create welcoming spaces where people can play, stay active, and connect. This position offers hands-on experience in program planning, staff development, and facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and improve recreation programs for a variety of ages and interests.
• Oversee daily operations of the gymnasium, outdoor turf field, and the Zone.
• Hire no added hiring requirement
• Supervise, schedule, and train Kroc Attendants in customer service, cleanliness, and safety.
• Develop engaging activities for youth ages 11–17 in the Zone.
• Work with the Program Director to keep recreation spaces safe, welcoming, and well staffed.

Requirements

• At least two years of experience working with youth, sports, and/or in customer service.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, including experience supervising staff.
• Knowledge of recreation safety practices and proficiency with Microsoft products.
