Sourcing Professional - Buying/Procurement

About the role

Baker Hughes Bently Nevada offers a plant-wide, holistic suite of control system and machine condition monitoring and protection hardware, software, and services that help achieve the highest level of asset reliability possible. In this role, you will oversee the effective purchasing of defined work, accurate status reporting, control, and expedite in a professional manner in accordance with strategy. You will manage material purchasing needs and multiple suppliers, with familiarity with engineering bills of material, documents, control drawings, and QA requirements to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Interface with production/suppliers to schedule the receipt of raw material to meet production demand and ensure the timely execution of MRP signals, minimizing/managing potential line downs.
• Issue purchase orders using sound purchasing practices, ensuring applicable company and government regulations are followed.
• Identify and manage material plans that do not meet customer requirements, with clear communication to materials leadership to shape resolution.
• Develop supplier relationships and build supplier delivery and inventory metrics accurate to plan.
• Monitor implementation of corrective action plans.
• Monitor and control engineering change for cut-over plans, as well as support coordination of supply chain/engineering with the suppliers if necessary.
• Meet the requirements of customer on-time delivery through tasks necessary to succeed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a Manufacturing or Materials capacity.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, establish effective work priorities, create improvement, and demonstrate a persuasive and resilient nature.
• Effective analytical and organizational skills.
• Solid oral, written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Desired Qualifications

• Knowledge/understanding of ERP systems and/or SAP experience.
• Completion of an APICS training course.

Pay

The annual pay scale for this position is between $62,310.00 and $115,510.00. The pay range reflects Baker Hughes’ good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will depend on factors such as geographic work location, skillset, qualifications, internal pay alignment, level of experience, and demonstrated performance over time.
