About the role

The Sourcing Specialist – Buying/Procurement supports strategic and operational sourcing activities for LT16 turbine technology projects. This role plays a key part in driving supplier identification, qualification, and contracting strategies to ensure cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Executing sourcing strategies for LT16 turbine components, modules, and related services aligned with project timelines and cost targets
  • Identifying, evaluating, and qualifying new suppliers based on technical capability, quality, and delivery performance
  • Leading RFQs, bid evaluations, and supplier negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Project teams to ensure supplier alignment with technical specifications and requirements
  • Supporting localization and supplier development initiatives, particularly in key growth regions
  • Driving contract development and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Maintaining accurate sourcing data in ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent) and supporting reporting and analytics needs
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sourcing processes and cycle times

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Have 3+ years of sourcing or procurement experience, preferably in industrial, energy, or turbomachinery sectors
  • Demonstrate experience in supplier qualification, RFQ processes, and contract negotiations
  • Possess strong understanding of technical procurement environments (e.g., rotating equipment, castings, machining, assemblies)
  • Showcase strong stakeholder management skills in cross-functional and global environments
  • Have strong analytical capabilities, including cost analysis and supplier performance tracking
  • Be familiar with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent
  • Have excellent communication skills in English

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with localization strategies and regional supply chain development
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements such as local content regulations and trade compliance
  • Experience working in project-based sourcing environments (EPC, new product introduction, or field services)
  • Familiarity with digital tools such as Power BI or advanced Excel analytics
  • Experience in supplier risk management and resilience planning
